Requirements:

Our team is growing!! We have exciting new opportunity for a Quality Control Technician to join our team of hardworking and dedicated individuals in our New Berlin facility!

The Quality Control Technician performs incoming, in-process, whole-good, and part quality inspections and coordinates activities to identify, document, track, resolve, and analyze product quality. Organizes and maintains quality metrics. Audits, develops and documents processes as required to improve quality. Ensures compliance to ISO 9001:2015.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Inspect whole goods prior to shipment to ensure conformance to all quality standards, sales order form and bills of materials.
  • Define product-specific inspection checklists and maintains inspection forms to ensure they are up to date with the latest product revisions.
  • Conduct visual and measurement checks to ensure product conformance.
  • Complete inspection forms with findings, note and photograph any deficiencies and coordinate and document rework and repair to ensure interim and permanent corrective actions are completed.
  • Collect and file any in-process quality inspection forms with shipping documentation.
  • Quarantine nonconforming product and ensure that it is dispositioned properly for inventory purposes.
  • Ensure all deviations from engineering print or documented standards, processes and procedures are documented and approved.
  • Input data into quality database, maintain database and generate ad-hoc historical analyses of quality issues.
  • Assist with implementation of and training on processes and procedures designed to improve product quality.
  • Interface with technical services to develop inspection and improved processes to resolve field issues.
  • Assist with the definition of cosmetic specifications.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):

  • Experience in quality systems and ISO 9001:2015.
  • Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of production process, knowledge of machines and tools.
  • Previous experience conducting audits or inspections in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to think critically and identify solutions to problems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to perform basic measurements using tape measure, protractor and other measuring devices.
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment including tape measure, square, calipers, gauges and micrometers.
  • Knowledge of MRP systems. Must have proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Able to wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Minimum 5 years mechanical experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Good coordination skills, ability to plan, prioritize and organize various activities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines/schedules.
  • Work additional hours to complete projects as needed.

Education and Experience:

Associates degree or technical school education, with 5 years of experience as Quality Technician or Inspector in an industrial manufacturing quality position preferred.
